No one answered the call after multiple attempts during the hours on the website. Finally, I got on a chat with someone that would only offer me a measly $7.50 refund instead of the $78 I should have gotten and a half *** sorry. Shutterfly boasts a 100% Happiness Guarantee! They obviously dont stand behind what they say-not giving the discount automatically or making it right. Bad business and extremely poor customer service. I will spend my money next time with someone that values their customers.

Had two people help me look over book One when I was almost done and again when done. Ive made books before but its always good to have another set of eyes look at it. Well they both missed something that they should have caught. I thought I was in the margin of the center crease. It would have been an easy fix for me. I just wanted to make you aware so it will be caught and another customer wont have it happen to them. I ordered 8 books and the writing looked fine visually but part was gone when they came. It would have been definitely something I could have fixed quickly.

I ordered calendars they came late even though I paid expedited shipping not only that they came completely flawed with a printing error on every month of those calendars when I called to ask for a refund and for new calendars to be reprinted, they would not do it. I kept getting the runaround and being handed off from manager to manager to manager reading a script, telling me they couldnt help me then when they finally offered me 20 percent refund and a reprint of the calendar calendars I said fine that would work.

They got off the phone with me got back on the phone and said we gave you a full refund but we cannot reprint your calendars. Which was not what we agreed on.

And they said it was too late to get the calendars now they would not fix The three large errors they made so the customer has to pay for it. They said there was nobody else I could speak to that could help me so Im stuck with horrible calendars and no Christmas gifts for my family and I will never go back to Shutterfly again after 20 years of being their customer!

This is the second year in a row that Shutterfly has done as absolutely awful job on the envelope addressing for my Christmas cards. Over 20 of the envelopes had the top half of the lettering cut off, off center, half of the recipients name missing, etc.

I contacted customer service and their first offer was to give me 3 8X11 prints. I told them that I didn't need enlargement prints, but I needed my Christmas envelops to be re-printed correctly. They agreed, but sent them with no rush or any sense or care or urgency. Complete apathy to a very legitimate customer issue.

So, over a week and a half later the new one arrive, and they are the exact same!!! Apparenlty there is absolutely no one overseeing quality control at Shutterfly. Customer service has been absolutely awful each time I've contacted them.

They are extremely slow to respond, not well trained or equipped to handle issues, and altogether apathetic and unhelpful. Never again.

I have tried for two weeks to place an order or get ahold of ANYONE. I still have had no success at all. I was trying to place a well thought out large order for multiple family members that included a calendar which is time sensitive and still, no one at all had been in touch with me. Due to the holiday, no one has answered the phones or responded to emails. This company is a joke. I cannot believe I wasted time and almost wasted more money ordering from them.

Inability to create a calendar

I've been a Shutterfly customer for over 10 years and always had some issue for my family calendar, but it seemed to have the most robust publishing software of any calendar company. This year was the worst.

When I tried to create a new calendar, it imported photos from last year and left them on the bottom page of the new calendar. When I went to upload new photos from my Google Photos, I got an error message about disabling my pop-up blocker that prevented me from logging into Google, even after I disabled my pop-up blocker. I decided to download all my Google Photos onto my hard drive so I could access them there, but they all came across as HEIC files which Shutterfly doesn't allow. I spent 30 minutes on hold and 45 minutes on the phone with a tech who said the Google message must be a bug and there wasn't anything that could be done about that.

Then he had me download two different Image Converter programs, one of which required a monthly subscription and neither of which worked for the 200+ photos I needed for my project. I asked the tech who your competitor was and he said Walgreens. I went to Walgreens and created my calendar without any technical difficulties (they accept HEIC format photos) and with a user friendly software that allowed lots of customization. Plus, I could pick it up the next day without any shipping charges or nail-biting about it arriving in time for Christmas.

I can't believe I put up with your clunky software and terrible tech support all this time.

I wasted at least 10 hours trying to get it to work, not to mention stress about meeting a deadline. Shutterfly sucks.
